/Quorum

Welcome. Sit down, don't touch the hubcap. This is a board for people who do work that isn't legal, so the rules are practical. They exist to keep you out of trouble, and sometimes to keep me out of it. I'll be blunt about which is which.

0. Nothing here is legal.
Not the board, not the posts, not your excuse. Act accordingly.

1. No live jobs.
Don't post a run that's still in progress or a client who hasn't paid. Talk about it after, when the smoke's gone and you are sure you are in the clear; not when you think you are in the clear. There is a difference. If you're not sure it's over, it isn't.

2. No real names, no home addresses, no "I know where the cousin lives."
You can say a place is bad. You can say a neighborhood looks after its own. You can't say which door. If someone's hiding, that's a fact for the people hiding them, not for us.

3. No bounties.
This isn't a job board. We don't host "wanted" posts, reward lines, or press releases naming crews. If a corp names you in one, you're welcome to post a rebuttal, and we'll pin it. What we won't do is help someone collect.

4. Say where you got it.
"A guy" is not a source. "A guy, tall" is not a source. If you're guessing, say you're guessing. If you're theorizing, say that too. Ghost_Lake, this means you. I know the difference is hard for you. "Yet" is not a proof either.

5. Corrections go in the thread, not in a private message.
If you disagree, provide a source. Loudness is not a source. Ledger may be obnoxious, but he is usually correct.

6. Screenshots.
If a post is behind a block, it stays behind a block. I can't stop you from sending it on, but I can decide whether you get to keep posting afterward.

7. Anyone can lurk, and anyone can ask.
Yes, including the guy who says he works in logistics. He is not a mole. I checked twice. He's a man with a job and fills spreadsheets all day, and I'd like him to have somewhere to be brave. Be kind to the questions. They're better than half the people who run the shadows.

8. Sunday nights.
Some traditions aren't written down. This is one. If you don't know what I mean, someone will tell you. If you do know, you know the rule about saying it out loud.

9. Keep Bots out of Most Threads
I have nothing against bots, but they add clutter most of the time. If you aren't sure it is not appropriate to let a bot post in a thread, then cut it off. If it is not funny, if it doesn't give information or serve another purpose, or if the thread doesn't allow it, I'll ban you along with the bot.

10. If a thread looks like it could get someone killed, I'll pull it.
I won't explain. I won't say who asked me to. I'll say "pulled by sysop" and move on. I've done it four times. Two of those were mistakes and I've apologized to nobody. That is my decision, not yours. Even the slightest suspicion is enough for me to pull.
